Rumor has it that this dip was originally served at Neiman Marcus. It has been a crowd-pleasing recipe for years that is surprisingly easy to make. An interesting combination of almonds, bacon, and cheese, this version is made with Greek yogurt. Its creaminess works exceptionally well with fresh vegetables or toasted naan bread.
Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup Greek yogurt, strained
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
6 green onions, finely chopped
1/2 cup crumbled bacon
Fry the bacon until crispy (and can crumble easily). Once cooked, drain on a paper towel until cool. Toast the almonds and allow them to cool to room temperature.
In the meantime, whip together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, and cream cheese until smooth. Slightly break in the almonds onto the mixture. Add in the green onions, cheddar cheese, and bacon and mix until combined. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes before serving.
Serves 4 to 6.
