Herb Butter


Herb butter is also known as compound butter and is a great way to season foods. Prepare it ahead of time in various combinations and have it on hand to make quick and easy appetizers or for added flavor to all your cooking.

Garlic Herb Butter

2 garlic cloves, roasted
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon chopped rosemary
1 teaspoon lemon pepper

Ideal for chicken, garlic bread, and corn-on-the-cob.

Roast the garlic cloves at 425°F for 30 minutes, or until soft. Whip the butter with the roasted garlic, salt, parsley, rosemary, and lemon pepper until smooth and fluffy. Transfer to a sheet of plastic wrap and roll into a log shape. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Mint Butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 tablespoons chopped mint
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Ideal for lamb, peas, and pasta.

Whip the butter with the remaining ingredients until smooth and fluffy. Transfer to a sheet of plastic wrap and roll into a log shape. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Sage Butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 tablespoons chopped sage
1 tablespoon chopped thyme
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Ideal for turkey and scallops.

Parsley and Chive Butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped chives
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Ideal for baked potatoes and salmon.

Fine Herbs Butter

Ideal for seafood and potatoes.
