Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups red onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup strained Greek yogurt
1 cup cream cheese

Heat the oil in a small frying pan on medium-low and add the sliced onion. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne. Let the onions cook for 30 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Let the onions stick a little to the bottom of the pan, but do not let them burn. Once they start to brown, stir them. Do not over stir as it will prevent the natural sugars from being released (which is what causes the caramelization). As the onions start to cook down and brown, you may need to stir more frequently.

While the onions are cooking, combine the yogurt and cream cheese and mix until smooth. Add the caramelized onions and stir to combine. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

Serve with warm naan bread. Serves 4 to 6.
